Lyrics -
I wish I could remember every second we had
I know I tried to count 'em all one by one, one by one
But you don't get 'em back, you don't get 'em back
Take every memory we’ve ever had
Oh, I want to live 'em all one by one, one by one

And I swear that I'm not gonna lose you now
I’ll keep you in my life somehow
And even when the lights go down, down
I could never lose you now
And even though we're not so close here
Maybe you could pick me up still
‘Cause I can't stop falling down
I can’t stop falling down
And I'm not gonna lose you now

Oh I can still remember all the lessons you gave me
I hope that I can live ‘em all one by one
Don’t you go looking back, there’s no looking back
And I don’t mean to open every picture I saved up
I’m only trying to visit with you one by one, one by one

And I swear that I'm not gonna lose you now
I need you in my life somehow
And even when the lights go down, down
I could never lose you now
Even though we're not so close here
Maybe you could pick me up still
‘Cause I can't stop falling down
I can’t stop falling down
And I'm not gonna lose you now

I’ll keep you in my life somehow
And even when the lights go down, down
I’m not gonna lose you now
I’m not gonna lose you now

  • I know that no one cares, but the reason I'm here is cuz my dad might die in a couple days. Please pray for him and me. Also, my great~grandma died when I was about 13 or 14 and the first time I heard this song, it reminded me of her, and it still does, especially the lyrics "even though we're not so close". I've lived with my dad all my life so far tho. Don't worry.

  • Almost 6 years ago, midnight of May 29th, I broke a promise to one of the closest friends I will ever have and failed to join him in a better world. He was a beloved friend, one of us 9 who had grown up together in Didsbury. But none of us ever found out his real emotions. He knew I wouldn't be brave enough to go through with the suicide, I was scared, 15, and didn't understand what could be beyond death. I got a letter from him the night after his funeral, and the things he wrote broke the way me and my friends viewed the world, viewed other people. It brought us closer, so we could all live a little bit more for the friend who barely had a life at all. This song brings back the promise we all made over his headstone, how hard it was for us to steel ourselves and not break down. To be everything he was, for the sake of people who suffered like he did. I couldn't stop from crying because of those memories, but in a way, I am grateful for this song bringing them back up. This is the power of music. It can soothe anger, it can bring back emotions you've barely let yourself express save for once a year, talking to a headstone. If more people just understood the way music can touch people, there would be a lot more happy people in this world.

  • Been listening to this song on repeat for weeks... I miss my dad, it's been over 2 years now but sometimes it feels like it was yesterday. This song expresses exactly how I feel. His body is gone but he's still here with me. I miss being able to talk to him and tell him everything, i miss asking him questions, and i miss complaining about adulting with him. But I still have those memories with him and I wont let them go.

  • When the time comes, and History is once again written, as it always is, one gal, will be the reason behind their being a "Dancing/Prancing/Violin-Playing/Singing/Acting/Online Sensation category, in the World Music, Hall of Fame. And that name, that ORIGINAL ARTIST, who began it all, will be one Lindsey Sterling. The very first time I saw her, all those years ago, when she first appeared on KGcode, I knew then, I was seeing something special. And something else? I knew, without any question, whatsoever: Simon Cowell, was fallible. As we all are... Just.. must of us know it. At least a small portion of the plaque they place under her "Life-like" wax statue, imo, should read as follows: "A girl who was not taken seriously, who was shunned, by the very people she wanted to be like, she admired, and worked so hard to become a part of, proved to the world, once and for all, that YOU decide your fate, at least the aspects that are left up to your control, and that what others may think of you, or your ability, or your chances, are NOT what should guide you in this life. Only that which is in your heart, in your soul, and in your dreams. It is not always the case, for every person- and honesty with self, is a very large part of one's success- But deep inside of Lindsey, if one but look, you'd of known, you'd of SEEN the truth, that lies within: This now woman, HAD that discussion with herself, and with the Power, who is greater than us all, and HER truth, was chiseled in stone- And there would be nothing, that would keep her from it. I've not seen that truth change, come rain or shine, good or ill, in all the years I've watched her. Not once. THAT aspect? NEVER CHANGED. She was not to be denied. All of this? Is why one day, Lindsey Stirling, will have her own place, and deservedly so, in the Music Hall of Fame. What an incredibly UNIQUE, TALENT & ARTIST.

  • Aaaa this made me cryyyy. I lost my mom last year due to covid. And I was super SUPER close so it was pretty difficult for me to deal with it all. Even then, its been so hard for me to keep living without her at my side. I always told her that we were going to die together but I guess things weren't gonna be that way. One of my favorite from Lindsey is Guardian because it reminds me so much of my mom. It takes me back to the wonderful memories I had with her. And now the song speaks to me and I am just so thankful That I am hearing it. I've heard it before but I guess its one of those moments where I had to hear it again. Lindsey, you make absolutely fantastic music. Keep on playing and just thank you 💖💖💖 Everyone have a great day/night!

  • ((crying)) this message is for Lindsey. I remember when my dad gave me of my violin. ... and right now we're not too close... my dad was a police officer so you can imagine my life... Because of this song I called him...and I told him I wasn't going to lose him now... Lindsey you are doing what all of us wish we could have done a long time ago. I found this song and I couldn't stop crying and I couldn't stop seeing myself and my father. Lindsey you keep doing what you're doing because you're touching people and you have touched me with this song. Our violin is a part of us... I started out in third grade playing with my teacher and another student in a tiny janitor's room. Thank you Lindsey for showing me what could have been. ❤️

  • Everytime I hear this song, it reminds me of how my sister lost her baby. The fact that Lindsey paid homage to that similar experience always hits home. This is the one song I actually love to listen and willingly cry to unlike other music that just makes me sad. Her music is sad but hopeful and really plays the heartstrings, and she is wonderful for her music and kind soul.

  • Can we start a thread with our favorite memories of our loved ones who have passed? 💫 I’ll start 💫 My little brother showed me Lindsey’s music. He was always keeping me hip to the new generation mainstream and he though she was super hot 😂 Best memory: I was arguing with my parents as a teenager and 9 year old Tommy grabbed our hands and started singing kumbaya. It was a classic lil bro move that made everyone laugh as we joined in 😎 Around the same time we would go out together and I’d act like his mom just so we could crack up at the stares and whispers 😆 But my last memory was one of the best. He’d just gotten legit ninja swords and he showed them to me in a way that reminded me of our grandpa that i’d spend hours with looking over his weapon’s collection. With no responsible adult supervision we took to sword fighting 😂 It’s a combo set that ties together I’ll cherish forever & share with my kids. I’m loving hearing this on repeat recalling our best times. Hope Lindsey comes out with more compilations like this. The video productions just keep getting better 🥰

  • Its been a month and I can proudly say it is underrated.
