  • at 36:55 there was a nice tactic available of 34. Nf5, forcing the d4 rook to move to e4, then Nd6 forking the king and e8 rook and winning an exchange. The move you played instead, Rf5 opens you up for an immediate fork with Ne3, but he missed that. This was with low clocks though, it boggles my mind that you can see these movies so quickly.

  • Hopefully you read this. Is there a chess engine that goes for the sharpest lines possible instead of the most solid? In alot of positions there are multiple (almost) equal moves, if theres an engine that goes for the lines that limit the opponents move (force them to find only moves etc), that could be really useful in finding traps and in beating humans especially. Maybe you can research something like that because youre like the trap master of chess. Thanks!

    • In that kind of arena you do not play vs players of the coresponding rank in tournament, but players with similar rating to yours. And then the points are counted from the score of your games. So, still, 1200+ rank guy had to put up a solid game winning like 26 games and losing only 6 (+1 draw I believe) , but it was among other around 1200 players.
