  • It's always told and said. If you want the truth to what happened and why follow the money trail. This time in the days and ages of investigation. It's not Tom Brady as the culprit. The culprit is and I honestly seen it probably 2007, I said around that time. For example ; Tom Brady who also has to make important decisions as a manager made a decision to throw a simple 3 yard side line pass. Now, I honestly know the Patriots would have gotten a first down. If there is a NFL team who can drive a team down the field with the offensive line, it's the New England Patriots, "ha,ha,ha,ha,. I'm going off the rails on the crazy train" Black Sabbath, The Patriots Entrance Theme. Going backwards a bit. Belichick called a play to Tom Brady to hand off. Wrong move. When a team is in crunch time, in need of a crunch time play for first down. It's Brady and the team who knows best. The Patriots lost because of not carrying out Brady's play. AAAAH YEAH!!!!!!!

  • Why? Cause he'd prolly knew that the NFL wanted the Bucs to host first Super Bowl game at their home stadium. With him knowing it he tries getting Gronk to join him so they can share the set up glory to get his 7th ring and become the most set up rigged game in the NFL "Sports Entertainment"...of course they would say something different when they are on camera.

  • Keep in mind Tom Brady did not just "leave" The Patriots, he was forced out by Belichick. Brady had wanted to play for The Patriots for life -- but Bill Belichick treated Brady like crap. Belichick constantly underpaid him his whole life, and too often surrounded him with just lousy 4th-rate receivers and draft busts. After Belichick cost Tom Brady another Super Bowl win in 2017-18 (who threw for a record 500 yards) by benching their best Cornerback Malcolm Butler and sabotaging the Defense out of spite --- Bill Belichick then refused to even give Tom Brady (the Hall-of-Fame hero carrying the Team) a proper contract extension or commitment. Drew Brees got one, but not Tom Brady (because of Belichick). All Brady, the greatest NFL QB ever to play, wanted here is to be treated with some respect and have a contract in the ballpark of Drew Brees. But BILL BELICHICK REFUSED TO DO THAT. Brady finally had enough and realized that he could indeed have a Brees-like contract extension, AND BETTER WEAPONS, and a Super Bowl - it just would not be coming from Bill Belichick. So Brady goes to Tampa Bay, and turns one of the losing franchises in history into instant Super Bowl Champions. Bill Belichick, regardless of FA signings, (losing lifetime record as a Head Coach without Brady) will not be winning any actual Championships WITHOUT Tom Brady.

  • What's interesting about this scenario is how you can see each person's perspective and have various feelings about it all. If you broke down a timeline for Brady's attempted negotiations the last few years you would see this coming a mile away from a business and changing of the guard standpoint. Some would say the way this played out was disrespectful but, I don't think that's true. Brady playing this well into his 40's is unprecedented in the NFL and I think Belichick's stance is justified. What I don't think is justified is how long it took and the amount of nickel and diming that took place. Theoretically, these teams should have been much better...that's on Bill. Even in a season where the offense struggled, Brady put up more than acceptable stats to keep them in a place where they could compete and win 12 games. It's only against past expectations that he seemed to falter.

  • I can name several QB's that have played in the last 20 years that could of played a lot longer if they had a career in which they didn't have a previous lingering injury and the motivation to continue setting ring count records. The latter could have made many play into middle 40's. Nolan Ryan still had that high 90's heater at 46, but in football you can have 90% throwing strength and schemes can be made to avoid the need for a 100% arm! It's not like Brady has had many seasons in which he took a lot of sacks (above 40). It took over 11,000 drop backs to get to 500 sacks! I'd like to see more players playing into their 40's, but I would imagine some that have that option just lose interest!

  • Listen, you can’t blame the Patriots for offering year to year contracts with Brady given the fact with his age. But they have been stringing him along with low ball contracts over the years and telling him it was all about using that money on other talent. Now, it was different, they wanted to continue with a low ball contract, and a low ball team for Brady to work with. Brady wants to win, and he wants good talent on the field, and he felt he wasn’t getting paid what he felt he was owed.

It takes lot of Discipline, Dedication, Commitment and above all lot of Courage. I don't think how much of coach's inputs are of help to Brady after all these years and years of experience. Singing AB, Gronk and Lenny goes to show how much he contributes beyond the field. I'm not saying BB had nothing to do with Brady, I'm sure in the early years of his career Brady got lot of learning from BB, but sticking it for 20 Years that's Brady alllll Brady....

TOM saw the writing on the wall... This was going to be a bad team for a few years... Belichick wanted year to year with bonuses for performance and minimum base salary...Tom always gave NE a home town discount... Enough is enough...TAMPA BAY got the "GOAT" and their money's worth. Mo TessMo Tess2 ай мурун
    • @Mo Tess I’m sorry but it’s just true that Tom Brady was being underpaid. That is undeniable. Being the greatest QB of all time he was being very much underpaid his whole career yet he chose to stay for 20 years. Firstly you don’t know him or the details of his personal life. He does not ignore his first son. He never left his baby Momma for Giselle. He broke up with her in the December of 2006 then started dating Giselle around end of December, then three months later is when he found out she was pregnant. He chose to still take responsibility for and raise that child so stfu. They still raise that child as part of the family. You really don’t understand why Brady went to Tampa Bay, he wanted to stay in NE but Bill and Kraft were getting rid of the best players like AB. Even then Brady was still going to stay. But then Bill did give him a guaranteed contract extension and show him the respect he wanted, so he moved to a team that did. What Tom Brady wants is respect and security he never cared that much about money as reflected in his decisions. You sound like a salty pats fan.

      Anna.T. _Anna.T. _2 ай мурун
    • @Anna.T. _ Bwahahaha he didn't take pay cuts, what he did was restructure the money he was "guaranteed" to get to create more cap space to help him win more games. He got his money, "everytime". Brady does what is best for Brady, always has, always will. ...and I'm not suggesting that is bad or wrong. Only ding dongs like you believe he's altruistic in nature. He left his baby momma for a supermodel because that is what he wanted to do and felt was best for him. He moved further away from his first son because that is what he wanted to do and felt was best for him. After 20 years of drafting last or near last, having last or near last waver wire claim, having its coaches and personnel department raided year after year, etc the Pats were hitting that rebuild point again. Similar to what happen to them after they won 3 in 4 years the first time, then Brady and the Pats went 10 years without winning. Brady did what was best for him and went to warm weather, for his old bones, cheaper taxes, a team that had been drafting in the top 15 for like the last nine years or something and was desperate and willing to do anything to win. All while avoiding the rebuild. What color is the sky in your Brady fan-boy world chief?

      Mo TessMo Tess2 ай мурун
    • Is that why he took pay cuts when he was still at New England? He was being payed less than other QBs on the team. But nooo he only does things for himself, not like he made any sacrifices for the organisation.

    • Yes, the Brady 6. What's fascinating is since that documentary how many former coaches have come out and admitted they'd still have a job if they drafted Brady...while still defending their draft day decision. For me, the most telling statement during the documentary was that he was a late comer to football and was the backup QB on a freshman team that didn't score a TD during the season. The only reason he played in JV, in Brady's own words, was because the QB quit after such a bad Freshman year giving him the opportunity. That was his beginning.

And that can ruffle feathers when it's this idea of 'team.' BUT. After the big win, it's 'sink or swim' as an individual, seeking to be singular. Anyone coulda surfed the Brady 'wave' like Gronkowski, but you would see it on the Patriots roster. People might intentionally LEAVE to prove THEY were the reason for success or just because they felt it would hurt the team. But a more 'accurate' reason would be that when anyone experiences success, they ALways get taken down. That's why there have been so many one team Super Bowl winners who flopped second year. Happened to Brady, too, after he won the first one. You go WAY up, like WAY beyond your average person in 'happiness' and 'achievement,' you're gonna experience bottoming out in a huge way. And these dudes, who win a LOT, know when to LEAVE. This could be a scene at a bar or a club or a restaurant. And. Eventually these dudes KNOW, uh oh, i'm outta here. But a dude like Brady knows how to leave AND find a much better situation. So. Brady left the Patriots because he wanted to win number 7.

  • Common now, the real reason and this is a well known fact is "Players Insurance Premiums". How? When a Teams Insurance Company see's fit to increase premium's for what they deem to be aged High Risk Players, the team can no longer meet their obligation nor can they simply change Insurance Companies. Rather than the team pay the increased premiums, they instead release the player or players causing the increased premiums. And because these plans are based in millions of dollars, they can and may be over budget what is already a part of the Salary Cap to be of any cushion. A new team has the advantage of being able to get an older player signed without a hike in premiums simply because their salary cap may not exceed the amounts allowing for free funds for adjusting premiums. And the Insurance Companies also grant privileges for a set amount of time before increasing those premiums likewise. The Buck's Insurance most likely may have agreed to a set 2 to 4 year plan that was affordable without an increase in good standing as well. Why ? Simply because it was not the same insurance company used by the Patriots.
